Fall activities

We have made scare crows out of Popsicle sticks
We have now made handprint bats ;)
Next on our agenda is to paint our pumpkins instead of carving (too much mess and too much work when they are still little). I'm excited because we are finally completing everything off our to do list that they have to do mandatory. It is a struggle at times with me having fms and branden needing individualized help for his speech and all the revaluations he's going threw.
Hopefully we can continue on this same path so we can have more free days to relax and not be so pressured to do everything.
I love how I can take the time to do what we need to do and go back if there's a problem or lack of understanding and not forcing them along.
I will continue to update and pictures enjoy and stay tuned to our wonderful trips !

New week

I'm really trying to be Alil more lenient because I been Alil bit of the aggressive teacher type and I don't think that is working well. Friday I gave them a breather and just sat and reflected on what strategy I should do with them and I have concluded to do em one at a time instead of all together since branden my oldest needs more of undivided attention. Lily finishes her work super fast so ill do her first. Then I'll do Ethan because he is more manageable. But art we will do all together and also will do the clubs together. I really am trying but it's so much easier said then done and with no help I just felt so over whelmed it wasn't even funny. This past week was hard but ill do anything to keep pushing and to continue to be a positive influence on the kids. That's all lets see how this week turns out and we will be doing tons of fall projects !

Overwhelmed

No matter how many times I repeat the lesson and read over the main concept of the lesson that they need to read it just doesn't sink in
I'm going to have to research online more methods into getting them to stay focus !
I finally stocked my iBooks with tons of books to keep me busy
Okay that's all for now

Tip: let the kids choose how they want to start their day aka subject
Mines love handwriting lol

Friday Summary

Today went so much better for our family. I must admit I was getting discouraged but after today successfully completing all the work on their to do list has me excited. Ive created a weather center where they can tell me how the weather is outside and they can move the cursor to the type of weather. Next on my agenda is to create a calender so they can interact with it just like they did on the weather! I love finding printables. No seriously i think im addicted to printing stuff out and creating fun stuff for them. tomorrow we will be participating in the autism speaks walk here in philadelphia at citizens bank park! I made buttons for me and their dad. Its sad that no one wanted to walk with us and that no one donated to this event.... I guess it shows me that no one really cares about helping and spreading awareness for others who are just coming to terms with finding out! now i will try to find cute bulletin board printables and crafts to have them do for the fall. i believe in expressing themselves threw art. i hope next week will be just as good as today!

Calendar almost full

I spent about an hour doing all the kids events on my iPad calendar. I need reminders and sometimes I'm one of those moms that procrastinates, yes guilty!
This is what September looks like so far ! Ekkkk ! Reminder to breathe lol ! ;)

It feels like I'm so missing stuff but I guess I'll continue to check their blackboard to make sure the teachers didn't throw me any surprises

Chronicles of us

So this will be the blog where I will input my kids art work, crafts, and also sites and tips and even apps for iPad and iPhone/iPod touch 4 that you can use to help educate your kids. Fun and even my experience as a home school mom. It's my first year and I'm currently homeschooling a special needs third grader branden who's 8, a first grader Ethan who's turning 7 in two weeks and a kindergarten diva named Navayli who's 5. I hope that this blog can be resourcefull. Also, I'm here at any time for other homeschool mommies.I plan on incorporating printables also. Feel free to send me ideas and artwork of your homeschool child and experience and ask me for advice because I'm here for all you mommies! Sincerely Vanessa
